a project to design a poster for international mother language day

i chose to look at the way languages have developed and been refined over years

from unrefined grunts represented by the first poster

till today where we have a word for everything needed represented by the final poster

snoozing

a book i produced to illustrate the process of waking up

the book is about how the snooze button on my phone is set to 9 minutes

 my alarm goes off

the haze of sleep (the black grain)is pierced by the alarm(the bright orange)

one minute after i have woken up my thoughts are normally confused and hard to decipher

it reads 

'annoying alarm goes off'

'shocked into the awake state'

'snooze button without hesitation'

i kept the text contain simple as i normally feel brain dead one minute after waking up

the snooze button has been pressed and the haze(printed grain) starts again

the following pages till the next alarm goes off are very similar although develop, darken and become more abstract so are quickly skipped

when ones asleep time is skipped
